ISIS has posted a picture of Lionel Messi in prison. The mockedup image of Messi in a prison jumpsuit, with blood coming from his eye has forced the  Argentine Football Association to demand for special security for star player Lionel Messi and other members of the national team.

President of the Argentine Football Association Claudio Tapia on Thursday met the Russian ambassador to his country Victor Koronelli to discuss the threat posed by Islamic State after the group also published an image alluding to next year’s football World Cup in Russia, warning those who visit Russia that they will face attacks.

Tapia has also been working with Koronelli and another Russian diplomat, Dmitriy Belov, to work on additional security at Moscow’s Bronnitsy Training Centre, which will house the Argentine team for the World Cup.

Nigeria Football Federation early in the week confirmed that the Super Eagles will play Argentina in the Russian city of Krasnodar on Tuesday, November 14 at the Krasnodar Arena Stadium.

Argentina are in danger of missing a first World Cup since 1970 after being held to a goalless draw by Peru.

Only the top four in South American qualifying are guaranteed a place at the 2018 tournament in Russia, and Argentina are sixth with one game left.
The two-time World Cup champions must win their final qualifier in Ecuador to claim at least fifth spot which sets up a two-leg play-off against New Zealand.
The final round of games kick-off at 00:30 BST on Wednesday, 11 October.
Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli conceded "the situation is not comfortable" but added he was "confident that if we play with the conviction with which we did against Peru we will be in the World Cup".
Lionel Messi hit the post in the second half and Sampaoli praised the Barcelona forward's "great intensity" as he created numerous opportunities that his team-mates were unable to convert in front of a 49,000-capacity crowd at La Bombonera in Buenos Aries.
Argentina, beaten finalists at the 2014 World Cup, are level on both points (25) and goal difference (+1) with fifth-placed Peru, who are ahead on goals scored.
So tight is the group that four points separate Uruguay in second (28) and Paraguay (24) in seventh and a win for Argentina could see them qualify automatically.
However, they have drawn their past three qualifiers and their recent record in Ecuadorian capital Quito, which is 2,900m above sea level, is poor, losing two out of their past three and drawing the other. Ecuador have lost their previous five qualifying games.
Peru are hosting fourth-placed Colombia and should they draw, Argentina would be eliminated if they did not win.
Chile, who are third, go to already-qualified Brazil, while Uruguay, who are all-but assured of their place in Russia because of their vastly superior goal difference, need just a draw at home to already-eliminated Bolivia to guarantee qualification.

Andres Iniesta: Barcelona captain signs 'lifetime contract' with La Liga club

Barcelona midfielder and captain Andres Iniesta has signed a "lifetime contract" with the La Liga giants.
The Spain international, 33, has made 639 appearances for the Catalan club - second on their all-time list - and scored 55 goals.
Iniesta came through La Masia, the Barcelona youth academy, after joining in 1996 at the age of 12.
He made his first-team debut in October 2002 and has won eight Spanish league titles and four Champions Leagues.
Iniesta has captained the side since 2015 and shares the record with Argentina forward Lionel Messi for the most titles, 30, in Barcelona history.
He has won the European Championship twice with Spain and scored the extra-time winner in the 2010 World Cup final against the Netherlands in South Africa.
A club statement said: "Andres Iniesta signed a lifetime contract with FC Barcelona on Friday, in a deal that will keep him at the club for the rest of his career."
Iniesta said: "This is a very special day for me, simply because it means I'm staying at my home, where I can continue to dream of achieving great things for this club.
"It's where I have grown and developed."

A Tough Break For Barca

A Tough Break For Barca

Barcelona have been dealt another blow after their crushing 5-1 aggregate defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup with the news that Luis Suarez will be out for around four weeks with a knee injury.

A statement from the Uruguay national team on Thursday said that the striker had suffered trauma in his right knee during Barca's 2-0 defeat to Madrid the previous day and would be out for between four and five weeks. The Liga side said in a later statement he would be out for four weeks.
Suarez was seen limping towards the end of the game against Real, but remained on the pitch as coach Ernesto Valverde had used his three substitutes.
The injury news means that the Calatan club will field just one of last season's much-heralded 'MSN' front three, with Neymar now plying his trade at Barcelona and Suarez out for at least four league matches.

The 30-year-old will miss Barca's opening league game at home against Real Betis on Sunday, as well as matches against Alaves, Espanyol and Getafe.
He will also be absent from Uruguay's FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Paraguay, and could miss Barca's opening Champions League group game which is scheduled for next month.
Barca also said that defender Gerard Pique sustained a groin strain during the 2-0 defeat to Madrid and was a doubt for the game against Betis.
