Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe is a new Unilag VC. Check the brief biography of Pro Oluwatoyin Ogundipe. Prof Ogundipe was born in Born on May 31, 1960. , Professor Ogundipe obtained his First, Second and Doctoral Degrees from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife. He also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and a Certificate of Attendance from the University of Reading, United Kingdom in 1998.

Pof Ogundipe is a professor of botany and Unilag Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics and Research before his appointment to VC. The professor has won many awards which includes the best Ph.D. Thesis Award (2011, 2012). He has raised several millions of naira for research projects from the British Council, University of Lagos and Agriculture Research Council, and other funding organizations.

Prof Ogundipe emerged victorious among the other shortlisted candidates for the position which Prof. Ben Oghojafor, Prof. Duro Oni      Prof. Oluwole Atoyebi. Prof. Olukayode Amund, Ajewole Moses  Odukoya Olukemi  and Prof. Ayodeji Olukoju.
